We are in the final stages of fine-tuning the agenda and competition criteria, and we can’t wait to share them with you. But there’s already an exciting challenge we just have to reveal now – a brand-new competition category: French Twist!
This is your chance to let your creativity shine and put your own spin on the classic French manicure – with a twist! Are you ready to take on the challenge and show the world your nail artistry skills?
And it gets even better! This year, we have the following thrilling themes:
- Stiletto – Yin and Yang ⚫⚪
- Fantasy – Happy Pride 🌈
- Mixed Media – Circus 🎪
- Poster – Avatar 🌍

Nail master
Any competitor that has placed first, second or third in a recognized nail competition of any type.
2
Nail starter
Student and professional nail technicians that have never participated in any type of nail competition – or have placed up to 4th position.
Let us introduce Reni, your organizer for the competition.
Reni Mobrandt has organized competitions and been an international judge for 15 years and she is your support during the Nordic Nail Open. Reni is also one of the founders of Nail Systems of Sweden, which has been the support of many nail technicians and competitors for over 20 years.

ACRYGEL TIP&OVERLAY
A classic competition with acrygel, where one hand is enhanched with TIP and French manicure. Thumb and little finger lacquered with red nail polish.

A classic competition with acrygel, where one hand is enhanched with a FORM and French manicure. Thumb and little finger lacquered with red nail polish.

A classic competition with gel, where one hand is enhanched with TIP and French manicure. Thumb and little finger lacquered with red nail polish.

GEL SCULPT
A classic competition with gel, where one hand is enhanched with a FORM and French manicure. Thumb and little finger lacquered with red nail polish.

GEL POLISH
Natural nail polished with only gel polish. One hand with French manicure, the other hand with red gel polish and both thumbs decorated with optional decorations.
REALITY NAILS
3 tips to be decorated according to the themes you get just before the competition start.
This is modern, exciting, challenged.
STILETTO
One hand is to be enhanched on a form in a dramatic Stiletto shape. The theme is: ARABIAN NIGHTS
TEAM TRIO
Now we open the salon and will have fun for real. Three participants must together create a set in any shape and French manicure on one hand.
Funniest competition ever!
FANTASY
A competition that becomes a whole spectacle. Here you will create hair, clothes, make-up and the most incredible nails. The theme is: THE ROARING 20s
MIXED MEDIA
In peace and quiet, and in advance, create a box with 10 tips and decorate them according to this year’s theme: SPACE
POSTER
Is it you that will do the 2025 cover picture for Nordic NailOpen? 2025 year picture will have the theme MUSIC
NORDIC NAIL CHAMPION
The Nordic Masters for acrygel and for gel are appointed. The trophy goes to the participants, from any of the Nordic countries, who has received the best score in Acrygel and in Gel.

Winner of Winners Classic – the competitor who has the most points in all classical competitions: Gel, Acrygel, Gelpolish
Winner of Winners NailArt – the competitor who has the most points in all NailArt competition: Reality, Stiletto, Fantasy
